Che was petrified and startled when he and his team were cornered by the US-backed Bolivian forces. Following the attacks the team members died and they were about to shoot at him. Wounded Che shouted "Do not shoot! I am Che Guevara and I am worth more to you alive than dead" Then they arrested him and produced him before the main CIA operative. The CIA operative treated him nicely addressed Che as " Commander" and reported Che's capture to the HQ. After a while, an order came from the HQ. The decision was to terminate Che. When the CIA operative implied the HQ decision to Che, he turned white. Then the CIA operative wanted to take a pic with him and Che gave his consent. After his photo was taken Che was shot by a Bolivian soldier. He died with dignity. Che was a controversial character and after his death, he was eulogized as a model revolutionary. According to Hunt ( 2008), Che firmly believed that significant political and social change could not occur without armed struggle. According to some historians, Che supervised the torture and execution of untold thousands of Cubans without trial. However, over the years Che’s image has transcended as a revolutionary martyr and sometimes he has been depicted as Jesus.
